Dear Prospective Sponsors,
Falmouth High School’s Class of 2023 Graduation is fast approaching! It is a time of celebration, high hopes, and lasting memories for our seniors as they cross this important milestone. It is a time when our community comes together in partnership, as parents, teachers, and local businesses, to deliver Project Graduation, a fun and exciting event where seniors celebrate their graduation night in a safe, chemical free setting. This highly anticipated rite of passage is funded 100% by the generous donations of local businesses like yours and volunteer efforts. We are grateful for your support!
The History of Project Graduation: Statistics show (and history has proven) graduation night is one of the deadliest nights for teens drinking and driving. In 1979, the Oxford Hills region here in Maine experienced seven alcohol and drug-related teen deaths during their commencement season. As a result of this tragedy, schools in Oxford Hills launched Project Graduation as an alternative to the traditional graduation night drinking and driving temptations. By 1986, Project Graduation events were adopted by all 50 states and have become an important and special tradition on graduation night for decades. High schools and communities across the US rally to deliver Project Graduation with the same common goal in mind – to keep our graduates and communities safe after graduation.
Falmouth High School’s Project Graduation takes place immediately following the graduation ceremony the evening of June 4th. It is at a different venue every year and the location is kept a secret from the graduates until the end of their graduation ceremony. The event is filled with fun activities, entertainment, dancing, plenty of food and is chaperoned by volunteer teachers and staff from FHS. Senior participation is historically close to 100%. The event would not be possible without the generous financial support of local businesses like you in the Falmouth and greater Portland business communities.
Sponsorship Opportunities: We are offering four sponsorship levels this year to promote sponsor visibility and exposure to 170 seniors and their parents/families and the broader school community of +2,000 students and their parents/families. New this year is the opportunity to be recognized as a sponsor of Falmouth’s Got Talent, have your logo on a lawn sign, and a large sponsorship banner at events. We’ll be leveraging social media to show our gratitude with a shout out to your business and we will tag your website. To simplify the process, we accept credit cards in addition to the traditional check method. All sponsorship donations are 100% tax deductible.
Please partner with us to show your support for the Class of 2023!
